Healthy Country Planning Queensland Short Course 2024

Registrations are open for a Healthy Country Planning training course near Innisfail, Far North Queensland. This region is a special place where two world heritage areas meet – the Wet Tropics Rainforest, and the Great Barrier Reef. The Dyirribarra Bagirbarra people are the traditional custodians of this area and have deep and continuing interrelationships between land, spirituality, community and environment.

Delivered in partnership by Community Bred, the Goondoi Rangers and Conservation Management, the five-day course will focus on the unique cultural and ecological context of the region to enable participants to learn and embed universally applicable concepts and tools for conservation.

“The course provides language and structure to better work with stakeholders for conservation management initiatives. …this knowledge can be shared across a range of programs and initiatives.” 2023 course participant.

Using a well-proven learning approach, this intensive course will give you a good understanding of the Healthy Country Planning framework and how it can be directly used in your own work.
